Description

Osmosip Clear & Thick is a xanthan gum based instant food and drink thickener. It is a Food for Special Medical Purposes for the dietary management of patients with swallowing difficulties and should be used under medical supervision.

Presentation

133g re-sealable tin with a 1.2g scoop (approx.), 12 tins per case.

Indications

For patients requiring thickening of liquid or food for the management of dysphagia – due to conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, muscular dystrophy, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, neurological disorders caused by injury or disease, and malignancies of the oral cavity and throat.

Mixing Instructions

For Thickening Liquids

Using the scoop provided in the tin, add the recommended quantity of Osmosip powder into a dry, empty container (glass, cup, beaker jug).

Add the liquid into the container containing the powder and stir immediately and rapidly with a fork or spoon for 10 seconds or until completely dissolved.

Leave to stand for a few minutes until desired thickness level has been reached before serving
